simplicity and efficiency will make the JPA go away

$40M/year to make sure identifiers are unique may be excessive but the JPA hasnt helped this and Patel (new NTIA head) being a govt insider lawyer is not going to have the stomach to rock the boat on such a short term. So let ICANN off the JPA and lets see what happens.  All that really matters is IANA and they do a very efficient job for only 10% of the budget. The Internet wont go to hell if ICANN cracks because the IANA folk and the Internet community will just keep going. … new tlds? well thats what the $36M/year now (and a lot more later) is for. Hopefully those moneys will just go into some Internet research foundation.
